Open Question: Visa requirements for hiking
My be and I want to hike in Torre Delhi Paine from Argentina, but a major part of the hike is in Chile. I don't need a visa for either country, but my boyfriend is from the U.S. He has a visa for Argentina, but will he need to pay the reciprocity fee, even if we're just doing the hike and entering Chile on foot (or by bus)? I've read things that say yes you have to, and others that say you only pay the fee if you fly into the country... Some advice pls :)

Resolved Question: South America / 5 weeks?
I have 5 weeks end of December to travel to a few of the places in South America on my bucket list: Torres del Paine, Petito Moreno Glacier, Atacama Dessert, Amazon or Pantanal (River/Jungle Tour), Iguazu (if on the way). I'd rather do less to see more, but ideally I'd like to do as much as I can. Either flying or bus/boat works. So does an organized trip for Amazon/Pantanal (any agency suggestions?) Does anybody has suggestions as to what places I should visit within the time frame? Torres del Paine is set, thus is part of the itinerary. I'm planning to fly into Santiago de Chile (but nothing is booked yet). Thanks!! Additional Info: I have been already to Bolivia, Peru and Equador. So on This trip I'm mainly interested in Chile and Brazil/Argentinia for the Pantanal/Amazon portion. Thanks!
