Resolved Question: Where is the warmest
I am interested in producing peanuts, wine, nectarines, tobacco, tomatoes...all crops that love heat day and night. I noticed that most of these are produced in Ontario and the warmest place that I can find is Southern Ontario and Southern BC. But Ontario seems to average higher in summer (not Winter!). Can someone confirm this? For example, right now in a warm spell, Windsor is experiencing highs of 34, 34, 35 and lows of 24, 25, 24 celsius.. When one averages this it is a mean(average) temp of 30C and I cannot find anywhere higher in Canada during a warm spell. The only exception is Pelee Island Ontario which is slightly warmer) and has a special micro cilmate. (Same latitude as the border of Northern California) I see there are warmer places in daytime highs(Kelowna, Osoyoos) and they are 36, 37, 37 celsius which is hot but their night time lows are 17, 18 and even 15! So they are not as warm on average due to their much Nortnern location(1000 km North of Windsor). My issue is that if I spend the money, buy 10 acres, farm etc tomatoes, tobacco, peanuts, grapes love the heat and Western Canada seems to cool off not just at night but much more so in August and Sept, Oct much more than Ontarios(which stays milder and steadier). Thoughts from any farmers or fruit producers?

  Resolved Question: Warmest summertime areas
I know Osoyoos and Lytton/Lillooet have the hottest summer temperatures, and Southern Ontario and Quebec is very humid, but any other places that has pretty warm summers? Don't say Vancouver. Their summers are mild, not warm. I'm from the Okanagan. Their summer is our spring.
