  Resolved Question: Other religious stories
I recently read The Star by this brilliant man and was absolutely flabbergasted. If you haven't read it yet, please do! It's well worth the 10 minutes or so. Anyway, I was wondering if there were any other stories by Arthur C. Clarke (or any of the big three, for that matter) that alluded to or had an interesting take on religion. The Star had very obvious religious connotations, and I was hoping some of his other works were just as religiously thought-provoking and insightful as this one.

I have Arthur C Clarke's book "The Sentinel", which has about 7-8 short stories but I was wondering if there was a full version / follow-up to The Sentinel story itself? I know that people say it is the original to "2001:A Space Odyssey" but according to Arthur C Clarke he says it's not a follow up so I was wondering if The Sentinel had it's own full book? even if it's by a different name.

OK so i've read 2001 and am now reading the 2nd novel 2010. Anyone who has read 2001 knows that Bowman finds the 2nd monolith on SATURN'S moon Japetus right? He also stations Discovery above the surface. So why has the location of the monolith and Discovery suddenly changed to Jupiter and its moon Io in the second novel (2010)? Did Clarke decide to change the story around or did I miss something? I have never seen the movies but that would explain it. Thanks for the info.
